"The Quist family welcomed their son Todd into the world on November 21, 2001. It took a month to diagnose their sons condition that was barely noticeable at birth as a rare chromosomal disease called PKS (Pallister-Killian Syndrome). Through the following years of Todd's life the Quist's have adapted to the joys and the challenges of a new child with special needs.
Through understanding his delays fully the prospects for improvement and quality of life continue to propel this family into making a better environment for their son. Todd grows like any other child but he has restricted sight, hearing, speech and cognitive abilities. His family knows that behind this stiff exterior there is a lot more then just a growing boy. A child who is unable to communicate normatively still possesses the power of affection and ability to acknowledge the presence of his Mother, Father and older brother.
Imagine loving something that in the conventional aspects of humanity seems to not be capable of loving you back. Going against specific assumptions made by society the Quist's ability to love and cherish their child grows as does the challenge of their sons disease. A documentary that will magnify the reality of family, examine the uncharted power of love, its motivation and amazing ability to heal wounds of an unpredicted kind"
